DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is an Incoterm where the seller handles every step from the Chinese factory gate to your warehouse door — ocean freight, insurance, destination customs, duty, GST/VAT and last-mile trucking. You receive one fixed landed price and take delivery at your address without lifting a finger at the port.
Is DDP more expensive than FOB or CIF?

DDP is not automatically more expensive — it is more predictable. On FOB you pay the factory less, then absorb freight, insurance, duty and clearance separately, often with surprise demurrage or classification queries at the destination port. DDP consolidates the risk into a single number so your finance team can price with certainty.

How is destination duty calculated on a DDP shipment?

We classify your HS code with a licensed destination-country broker before you commit to a factory contract, then compute Basic Customs Duty, GST/VAT and any anti-dumping or safeguard duty. That number is written into your DDP quote and locked — if the destination classification changes, we absorb the delta, not you.
Do you handle destination customs clearance yourself?

We work with tier-1 CHA (Customs House Agent) partners in every destination country. For repeat destinations we hold direct broker relationships in India (Nhava Sheva, Mundra), UAE (Jebel Ali, Khalifa), USA (Long Beach, LA, NY) and the UK (Felixstowe, Southampton). Clearance filing, duty payment and release are all on us.
What's the typical DDP lead time from RFQ to warehouse?

8 – 14 weeks end-to-end. RFQ intake and factory shortlist: 3 working days. Sample cycle: 2–3 weeks. Production: 3–6 weeks depending on product. Ocean freight to destination: 12–35 days by lane. Destination clearance and door delivery: 2–7 days.
What is the minimum shipment size you'll take on DDP?

One 40HQ container equivalent, or a Yiwu-consolidated LCL of USD 15,000+ landed value. For sub-container programmes we recommend Yiwu multi-vendor consolidation which we run out of our origin warehouse.
How does DDP protect me from freight rate spikes?

For our annual DDP Programme buyers we lock rates against volume commitments with tier-1 carriers (COSCO, ONE, MSC, Maersk). Even during Chinese New Year peaks or Red-Sea diversion, your landed cost stays inside the contracted band — we absorb short-term BAF or GRI spikes.
