Why Kolkata, and not Nhava Sheva
If you are based east of Nagpur, routing your cargo through Nhava Sheva means an additional 1,500–2,000 km of Indian road transit — measurable in additional 4–7 days plus significant fuel and toll cost. For East India importers, Kolkata is the geographically-correct port. It also runs busier China feeder services than most importers realise, especially out of Ningbo and Guangzhou.
