Fortune Sourcings
Under-container-load buyers

Consolidated shipping · China → Siliguri hub → your last mile.

For buyers whose monthly cargo does not fill a 20' or 40' container, consolidated shipping — LCL, groupage — is the practical answer. We run a weekly consolidated container from Yiwu and Guangzhou into Kolkata, then onward to our Siliguri hub. You pay for the space your cargo occupies, not for a whole container.

Route
Yiwu / Guangzhou → Kolkata → Siliguri hub → last-mile road to India NE, East India or Nepal
Cadence
Weekly departures from China (see FAQ for cut-off and departure day specifics)
Sea leg
18–25 days port to port depending on route
On-ground
Fortune Imports & Exports (India), Siliguri hub — the natural consolidation point for India NE and Nepal-bound cargo
Ideal for
Smaller / mid-size importers who cannot yet fill a container each month
Section 01

How consolidated shipping differs from booking your own container

In a full container load (FCL), one buyer's cargo fills the whole box. In consolidated (LCL), multiple buyers' cargo shares one container, and each buyer pays for the space their cargo actually occupies. This is the practical way to import smaller volumes without either paying for empty space or waiting weeks for enough cargo to accumulate.

Section 02

What is coordinated on this corridor

  • Cargo receipt at our China-side consolidation points (Yiwu and Guangzhou).
  • Consolidation, mark-separation and stuffing into the weekly container.
  • Export documentation for the shared container, with your cargo identified separately in the manifest.
  • Sea freight to Kolkata, port clearance and onward road transport to our Siliguri hub.
  • De-consolidation at Siliguri, quality check, and either release to your onward truck or last-mile delivery.
  • Optional short-term Siliguri warehousing if you are staging cargo before releasing to Nepal or East India.
Section 03

Who this corridor is built for

Smaller and mid-size Indian and Nepalese importers whose monthly China cargo is 3–15 CBM — enough to justify structured shipping, but nowhere near a full container. Also strong for buyers running a new-product test-import before committing to full-container volumes.
